Description Surrounded by gentle woods, green meadows and ancient cypress trees, our Farmholiday is located in ideal position for cultural sightseeings, or guided tours to the many locations of artistic and historic interest.At only 8 Kilometres away from San Gimignano, one of the most fascinating walled medieval towns of Tuscany characterized by 15 tall and original towers, “Fattoria di Vagli”, is closed to the most important art’s cities such as Siena (km 30), Florence (km 50), Pisa (60).The farmhouse is an old restored house from the 17th century, refined in order to keep the traditional Tuscan countryside style, where Ferri family, offer a warm hospitality to their guests in some very nice, confortable, cosy rooms, with their traditional wooden beans. It is a true paradise for those who are looking for a holiday in the countryside.However in less than a half hour's drive, you can visit some of the most interesting Tuscan towns like San Gimignano, Volterra, Certaldo and within one hour cities like Siena, Florence, Pisa and Lucca. It's also possible to go wine tasting in the Chianti region or to go on the Mediterranean coast.Today, the villa of San Benedetto, the farmer's home and the barns, have been transformed into guest houses, divided into 15 comfortable apartments, for those who want a relaxing vacation. The park of 4 hectares, enriched by bougainvillea, lemon trees, and hidden swimming pools in the middle of the vineyards, guarantees total tranquillity.The old cellars of the farm are now 'Casa Masi': a trattoria where Luciana and Sandro present traditional home cooking using only fresh local ingredients, varying according to the season (for example truffles and mushrooms). Reviews from past customers Location is fantastic, full of nature and I perfectly enjoyed the countryside of Toscana. The restaurant, Casa Masi, the food served there was fantastic. Risotto with Poltini, Meat sauce pasta country style, crostini, house wine.....everything I had there was one of the best italian dish I ever had, I think. Those who want to travel Toscana should visit and stay here, even to have dinner at Casa masi, I strongly recommend. I could have time to read book beside the pool and of course swim/ bathe in the swimming pool on a hot day is excellent. I will defenitely come back here to have a wonderful Tuscan holiday!!
