Reviews from past customers My wife, two children (13 and 16) and I enjoyed our stay at Carbonaio. The location was quite convenient with Pitigliano, Sorano and Sovana and the thermal bath at Saturnia (the children's favorite) all within a short drive from the farm. The farm was very peaceful and it was nice to wake up to the sound of the bells on the goat herd grazing in the paddock nearby. The two comfortable bedrooms were located upstairs (one with western sun and the other with eastern sun) and the dining area and kitchen were downstairs. The temperature during our stay in early July was warm during the days and cooled off to a very comfortable temperature at night. We slept very well and never wished for a fan or air conditioning at any time. We just left the windows open (no insect problems at all) and enjoyed the local climate.My inability to speak Italian was not a problem as Fabrizio spoke English. Fabrizio was very helpful and provided us with wine and olive oil from the farm which helped out at meal times.The farmhouse is located on a spur at the downhill end of a 500 m long road from the main farmhouse and it we found it necessary to drive for sight-seeing and shopping.
